Statistical analyses were carried out separately in lean and obese subjects. Two-way ANOVA with "time" (repeated factor 10 levels: 0 to 9 hours) and "meal" (repeated measures: carbohydrate/fat/fast) and their interaction was used for statistical analyses. Statistically significant (p < 0.001) interactions were found between the two factors in both lean and obese subjects.
