All filled symbols represent tests carried out in CF patients whereas the open symbol ({square}) represents tests performed in patients with chronic pancreatitis. Excretion of all TG*s is expressed as percent of oral dose and all stool fat values as g/24 hours. Linear regression analysis was performed using SPSS Version 10 and the least squares fit line is shown for each TG*. The calculated regression parameters for each TG* are as follows: P*P*P* r2 = 0.941, slope = 3.20 and y-intercept = 9.04; P*LP* r2 = 0.924, slope 0.592 and y-intercept = 4.02; SO*S r2 = 0.845, slope = 0.120 and y-intercept = 0.900.
